Description

Luxembourg is the leading hub for alternative investments – private equity, private debt, real estate, infrastructure, and more. As Europe's largest fund center (and the world's second largest), it holds an impressive 56% of the global market for cross-border investment funds.

But the ground has shifted. Following the OECD's BEPS project, the tax framework in Luxembourg and Europe has changed significantly.

So what still makes the "Luxembourg toolbox" so attractive for international investors? And how do you navigate the (new) rules?

Our course answers the key practical questions:

  • How can alternative investments be structured in Luxembourg?
  • What does "substance" mean – and what requirements must be met?
  • What's a reasonable approach to transfer pricing and documentation?
  • When do reporting obligations kick in under DAC 6?
  • How do tax treaties work in this environment?
  • And how do the crucial concepts of hidden dividend distributions and hidden capital contributions actually work?
