Gilles Mougenot a débuté sa carrière comme conseil juridique. Il est un acteur reconnu du marché français du capital-investissement depuis 1984, date à laquelle il a créé le service rapprochement d’entreprises de l’ANCE, l’Agence Nationale pour la Création d’Entreprises. En 1985, il a rejoint à sa création et a participé au développement d’Initiative et Finance un des pionniers du LBO en France. Il a participé à plus de 30 opérations de rachat d’entreprises.
En 1990, Gilles Mougenot est l’un des fondateurs d’Argos Soditic, maintenant devenu Argos Wityu Partners. Il a notamment mené les transactions d’EAU Ecarlate (Spotless group), Du Pareil au Même, Saime, Roc Eclerc , Alkan, Revima en France ,Lineas et Gantrex en Belgique , Future Groep aux Pays-Bas.
En 2003, il a été nommé Président de France Invest pour l’année 2003/2004. Gilles Mougenot est diplômé de l’Institut de Droit Comparé et titulaire d’un DESS de juriste d’affaires.
