NautaDutilh is pleased to announce the appointment of Antoine Laniez as litigation and arbitration partner in its Luxembourg office, effective 1 April 2020. With this appointment, the firm further strengthens its Litigation & Arbitration practice.
Antoine Laniez heads the Luxembourg Litigation & Arbitration practice. He represents a wide range of institutional clients in complex commercial, corporate and insolvency-related arbitration and litigation. Five years after joining NautaDutilh, Antoine and his team have built up an impressive commercial litigation practice, with numerous landmark victories in complex disputes before the Luxembourg courts. Antoine also supervises an employment team focusing on corporate employment matters.
Managing partner Josée Weydert says: « We are very proud of Antoine, who has demonstrated a strong client focus in his work throughout the years. We look forward to working with him to further develop our litigation practice in Luxembourg, particularly in the corporate and investment funds sectors.”
IP & technology partner Vincent Wellens is also pleased with Antoine’s appointment: « Over the years, Antoine’s practice and mine have proven to be complementary, and I am confident we will be able to further develop our practices together, as the fields of intellectual property, technology and data protection law become increasingly contentious in Luxembourg. »
Commenting on his appointment, Antoine Laniez adds: « Being appointed partner in the midst of a global pandemic is somehow special. The legal sector is doing its best to adapt to this unprecedented situation, and not a day goes by without a substantial change in legislation. Strengthening our litigation practice at this particular point in time demonstrates that we are prepared to help our clients deal with these changes and face challenges together. »
