Department purpose 

As a law firm we have in place internal policies and procedures (e.g. in matters of client acceptance, data retention, cooperation with authorities etc.) to limit our exposure to risks and deal with regulatory issues affecting our activities. Such internal risk management policies and procedures need to be put in place or updated as and when the regulatory environment changes. 


Role purpose 

We are looking for a full-time In-house Risk & Compliance Lawyer to assist the firm’s management team with the development and implementation of such risk management policies and procedures. You will work alongside the firm’s Head of Risk. Your main responsibilities will comprise: 

  • interpreting, implementing and training on new and existing regulatory frameworks and legislation; 

  • supervising the work of two risk and compliance analysts in charge of our client file opening procedure; and 

  • giving high end advice to the firm’s management and assisting on key strategic projects.

 

Who we are looking for: 

  • You have at least a bachelor in law or equivalent with major in law

  • You have between two and four years’ experience in compliance or risk management ideally in Luxembourg

  • You are dynamic, proactive and have excellent communication skills 

  • You are fluent in both written and spoken French and English, German is an asset

  • You have strong technical and writing skills in French and English

  • You are both a leader and a team player

  • You have a sense of responsibility and are committed to producing quality work
