Trainee (6 months) for our Investment Funds department

We are currently looking for a Trainee (6 months) for our Investment Funds department

(un stagiaire pour notre département Fonds d'Investissement - 6 mois)

Your Mission:

You will join our investment funds practice to support the team both (i) by being involved on various types of files, providing legal advice to funds managers, depositary banks, central administrations, board of directors and any fund industry stakeholders; and (ii)

By managing an important project of digitalisation. Your duties will include:

  • Running a large project of digitalisation while discovering clients product life cycle management to gain a deep analysis of the related documentation

  • Involvement in several stimulating files which will allow you to discover and in turn apply the best technical methods in respect of international legal issues (from initial structuring, to day-to-day maintenance of the fund documentation up until special events that may impact the funds, such as restructurings or liquidations, covering the entire range of liquidity, whether the funds are regulated or not)

  • Working on regulatory queries impacting the asset management industry (related to the AIFMD, UCITS Directive, SFTR, Benchmark Regulation, PRIIPS...)

  • Assisting depositary banks and management companies in the set-up and strategic or regulatory restructurings

  • Participating in the roll-out of investment funds business plan (conferences, articles, client events…)

The candidate should have:

  • Have a university degree in Law

  • Have a first experience in investment funds (UCITS, AIFs regulated or not) and/or their service providers (MainCo, AIFM, depositary banks, central administrations) will be an advantage

  • Have excellent communication skills and team player

  • Have a high degree of fluency in English and a perfect command of French, the knowledge of German would be an advantage

  • Have a solid organizational skills and the ability to adapt easily
