Greenfield is currently working on the search for an Investment Funds Lawyer for one of the distinguished international law firms. The investment Funds practice is a market-leading practice covering the full range of funds, including all kinds of alternative funds (such as private equity funds, hedge funds, real estate, debt, and infrastructure funds) as well as UCITS. In addition, they also advise investors with their investments in such funds, including pension funds, insurance companies, funds‑of‑funds, etc.

You will be part of this team and need to have a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in the same role as well as an excellent level of English. If you have the same type of experience or are a lawyer who would like to have a career change this opportunity is yours. 

Your role

  • You will be working on different issues such as structuring and documenting regulated and unregulated funds from pre-launching to post-closing.

  • You will be advising financial service providers, as well as advising on distribution channels.

  • You will be taking care of corporate and transactional services.

  • You will handle and manage client relationships.

  • As a senior person, you will be supervising and mentoring junior lawyers.

  • On several matters, you will be contributing to the knowledge management.


Your profile

  • 2-5 years' experience in alternative funds and UCITS ideally gained within an international and large law firm.

  • Experience in dealing with clients and providing advice with regards to depository and administration matters.

  • You are ideally already qualified or admitted to the Luxembourg 'Liste II' or to the 'Liste IV'.

  • Excellent knowledge of Luxembourg Investment Fund structures (UCITS, SIFs, RAIFs, SICARs, unregulated funds).

  • Fluency in English and ideally in French, and German would be considered an asset.

  • Dynamism, team spirit, and communication skills are required qualities to progress in our stimulating environment.

  • Willingness to provide high-service delivery for our clients.

  • Collaborative spirit and eagerness to work with different levels in the firm and guide/train junior colleagues.
