Linklaters LLP has one of the world’s leading Corporate practices. Our specialists provide expertise on the full range of M&A work, including cross-border, multi-jurisdictional and domestic deals, auctions, joint ventures and disposals, on behalf of corporates, investment banks or private equity houses. They also handle corporate reorganisations, mergers and demergers, corporate governance issues, hostile bid and defence planning and the full range of public securities issues.
To support our Corporate team, we are currently looking for a:
Corporate Lawyer Junior Associate (m/f)
Key responsibilities and challenges
Assists and advise clients on corporate and/or financial transactions.
Works on a wide range of domestic and international transactions including acquisitions, reorganisations, cross-border mergers, equity restructurings and financing/refinancing transactions
Manages research and due diligence and supervises the production of less complex documentation
Demonstrates familiarity with relevant market standards and precedents
Drafts with reference to the legal and commercial arguments, writing succinctly, objectively and logically.
Client Relationship Management
Establishes positive relationships with the client, building rapport and establishing credibility with client
Keeps abreast of developments in the business world, learn how clients’ businesses work and actively share insights gained from client interactions
Demonstrates thorough market knowledge to identify current trends and concerns in relevant industry sectors
Provides commercial and legal advice to the client
Relaying client feedback to the responsible Partner or Managing Associate.
Organises documentation and transaction plans effectively, demonstrating control of documentation
Understands the full context of work, plans work effectively, identifying individuals’ responsibilities, priorities and deadlines
Exercises financial discipline. Records time accurately and in accordance with the firm’s guidelines
Develops and participates in group projects and initiatives including marketing and know-how projects
Debriefing at the end of a matter or at other appropriate stages.
Keeps up to date with client industry developments and their implications
Contributes to quality know-how and transaction bibles and their upkeep
Contributes to client pitches and attends pitches where appropriate
Actively shares insights gained from client interactions.

Makes yourself available, acting as a sounding board for colleagues, calling out inappropriate behaviour and facilitating flow of communication between team and other parts of the firm

Mentors less experienced associates and trainees.
European qualified lawyer with outstanding academic qualifications
Demonstrate 1 to 2 years of experience.
Fluent in French and English; German would be an asset.
