Stratego is a Fiduciary established in Luxembourg for more than twenty years.
We are willing to expand our team by recruiting a compliance / legal officer, with the opportunity to work in an international environment with a potential career and a rewarding experience and continuing education.
Your role and responsibilities:
Responsible for legal & compliance matters impacting the Trust company,
Ensure the Trust complies with regulations and internal procedures (AML, KYC),
Draft and review compliance documents related to the Trust activities,
Monitor suspicious transactions and provide reporting and escalations as required,
Identity potential sanctions, political exposure of potential clients and act appropriately,
Investigate complex structures and consider appropriate KYC and AML requirements and risk categorizations,
Manage of projects, such as those projects addressing new regulatory initiatives, such as the implementation of the GDPR and existing policies
regarding MiFiD II, FATCA and CRS,
Drafting of legal documentations in relation to the Annual General Meetings, Extraordinary General meetings of shareholders, liquidation, etc
Manage day-to-day corporate secretarial matters, governance, and administrative aspects of a portfolio of domiciled companies and funds
Provide support in regard to company secretarial duties (compliance for opening bank accounts),
Prepare and deliver internal trainings in your area of expertise for the rest of the staff.
Qualifications :
Master’s degree in law (Risk or Compliance certification)
More than 3-5 years’ experience in a similar position in a Trust company in Luxembourg
Perfectly fluent in English and French
Good knowledge of the Luxembourg regulatory environment and regulators, and awareness of current issues such as GDPR and MiFiD II
Good knowledge of European financial regulation
